To make new light sources practical light sources

SPring-8-II Symposium: SPring-8 has supported Japan's science and technology for many years.
Considering changes in the international environment surrounding Japan such as economic security, aging after 26 years since opening for public use, and recent upgrades of competing facilities in other countries, we are considering an upgrade and renovation of SPring-8 to maintain competitiveness.
We have planned the following symposium to communicate the status of these considerations and to discuss with you the ideal form of a better utilization system, and we look forward to the participation of many people.
